I have just recently started to work with colored pencil after sticking to other mediums for years. I bought a set of prismacolors and would like to know if you work light to dark or dark to light on your pictures? I am not sure what works best with these pencils.

It depends on the support you’re working on. If you are using something gritty like pastelbord or colourfix paper, you can do either. But if you’re working on a hot pressed support or another really smooth paper with very little tooth, you are limited to light to dark.

I generally work on pastelbord or colourfix of late, and work dark to light.

That will help me out greatly, thank you.
