Colored pencil drawing of two pink children's sneakers.

I’m mostly happy with the way this one turned out, though I swear the fixative dulled the colors a bit. I’m using Prismacolor’s fixative – anyone have that sort of trouble with it? What fixative do you use?

    I love the sneakers!

I use Krylon Workable Fixative and haven’t had any trouble with it dulling the colors. I’ve only used it on pastel paper once but on all other papers it brightens the colors.

So cute these little sneakers. Another great drawing. Tell me that you screw up sometimes would you?? :)

I’m wary of fixative since I sprayed a pastel drawing and it disappeared in front of my eyes – literally. I haven’t used fixative much for cp, but when I have its been Krylone workable too and I haven’t had problems with it.

It does dull the colours til it dries, perhaps it just needed a little longer to dry.

    Fantastic sneakers. Just love them.

Fixative, I use Krylon workable. I haven’t had any colour changes ever – spraying cp work on Stonehenge and cp work on Pastelbord. I spray a couple of light coats letting the surface dry between coats. I know of someone who had colour changes but she says she sprayed too close and the paper got quite wet.
