“Jan”, Update #6

April 18th, 2008 · 3 Comments

So I’ll bet you’ve been wondering the entire time I’ve been working on this just what Jan would look like were we to hang uncooked bacon from the side of her face. Behold!

(Don’t worry, those are just the initial layers of her hand – it’ll look better any day now…I hope.)

“Emre, Newborn” Complete

April 2nd, 2008 · 6 Comments

I had to chop four inches from the bottom of the canvas to do it, but I’ve finally finished it:

If I hadn’t cut it there would be a large field of green in the front of the piece which wouldn’t have added anything visually interesting – so, I took a liberty.

It’s a relief to have this one done; when something sits on my desk for as long as this one did it starts to get stale in my mind and it’s tough to force myself into working on it.  I’m mostly happy with the way it turned out, though.

“Emre, Newborn” Update #8

March 30th, 2008 · 2 Comments

If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be drawing it…and because of him I haven’t the time (or energy) to work on it. :P

Perhaps by this time next week I’ll have it finished, hehe.
